There are venues that host weddings, and then there are venues that were simply made for them. Rondelle Ranch in Eagle River, Wisconsin falls firmly into the second category — and after photographing Colton and Jolene's wedding there, we are absolutely smitten with this place.

Getting Ready

Rondelle Ranch thought of everything, including a beautiful dedicated getting ready space that made the morning feel relaxed and special from the very first moment. Jolene and her people filled it with laughter and happy nerves, while Colton and his groomsmen got themselves together in their own corner of the ranch. The property set the tone for the whole day — unhurried, beautiful, and completely at ease.

One of our favorite things about Rondelle Ranch is that beautiful photo spots just keep revealing themselves around every corner. We wandered the property with Colton and Jolene after the ceremony and every turn gave us something new and gorgeous to work with. Northern Wisconsin in the summer does not disappoint.

he Ceremony

The ceremony spot at Rondelle Ranch is stunning. Surrounded by the natural beauty of northern Wisconsin in full summer bloom, Colton and Jolene said their vows with towering trees and open sky as their backdrop. There is something about a summer wedding in the northwoods that just feels timeless — the green is so deep, the air so warm, and everything feels alive.

The Reception: A Flapper Dress, Cigars, and a Lake

And then the reception happened and things got really fun.

Jolene slipped away and came back in the most fantastic sparkly flapper style dress for the reception — the kind of entrance that makes the whole room erupt. Meanwhile Colton and the groomsmen did what any sensible group of men at a beautiful northern Wisconsin ranch would do — they lit cigars and waded straight into the lake. We are not exaggerating when we say those photos are some of our absolute favorites. Just a group of groomsmen, dress shirts, cigars, and lake water up to their knees, grinning like it was the best idea anyone had ever had. It was.

The DJ kept the dance floor packed all evening and the energy never dipped for a single second.
