Mark & Colleen's Wedding at Presque Isle Park | Marquette, Michigan

If you asked us to describe Mark and Colleen's wedding in one word it would be: themselves. Completely, unapologetically, wonderfully themselves. From the moment we arrived at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, Michigan it was clear this was not going to be a typical Saturday wedding — and we were absolutely here for every single moment of it.

The Ceremony in the Trees

Presque Isle Park is one of those places that feels like it was made for a wedding. Towering trees filtered the summer light perfectly as Mark and Colleen said their vows surrounded by the people they love most. Intimate, alive, and completely them.

Cocktail Hour: Hosted by the Groom

The groom was at the grill during cocktail hour personally cooking kabobs for his wedding guests. Guests mingled, a wedding scavenger hunt and lawn games kept everyone laughing, and the smell of kabobs drifting through the trees set the most wonderfully relaxed tone imaginable.

The Reception

The live band kept the energy high all evening — until Mark picked up his trumpet and joined them. The groom. Playing trumpet. At his own wedding. The crowd absolutely lost it and honestly it was one of the coolest things we have ever witnessed at a wedding.

As the night wound down things only got better. An ice cream truck appeared for dessert, then a piñata, and just when everyone thought it couldn't get more fun — out came the cotton candy machine. The perfect ending to a perfectly untamed evening.

Lake Superior at Golden Hour

We slipped away with Mark and Colleen to the shores of Lake Superior for sunset photos and Lake Superior at golden hour is simply one of the most breathtaking backdrops on earth. Two people completely in love at the edge of the greatest of the Great Lakes. Perfect.

Mark and Colleen — thank you for one of the most joyfully quirky and wonderful wedding days we have ever been a part of. Your day was completely and perfectly you.
