Getting Ready at Home

Becky and Stephen spent their morning getting ready at home surrounded by their closest family and friends — exactly the way it should be. And of course, their two dogs Maple and Jake were right in the middle of it all, because what is a wedding morning without a dog underfoot?

The Porch First Look

Before heading to the park, Becky and Stephen shared a first look right on their own porch. Intimate, personal, and completely them. No grand venue backdrop needed — just the two of them and the life they'd already built together.

Into the Pines

The ceremony took place in the big pines at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point, and if you've never been married under a canopy of towering pines in fall, you are truly missing out. The light filtering through the trees, the leaves turning — it was stunning.

Jake, their sweet old dog, made the trip to the park for the ceremony too. He wouldn't have missed it. We didn't know it then, but those photos would become even more precious just a few months later when Jake passed away. We are so glad he was there.

Dinner, Flowers, and a Sunset Toast

The reception stayed right in the park with an outdoor dinner surrounded by the most beautiful homegrown florals — every arrangement came from friends, family, and local farms. It made the whole space feel personal and alive in a way that no florist catalog could replicate.

And then, just as the sun started to drop, Becky and Stephen gathered every single guest and headed down to the river for a sunset toast together. The whole group, golden hour light, the Wisconsin River — it was one of those moments that just gives you chills.

Becky and Stephen — thank you for sharing your day, your park, your porch, and your dogs with us. Jake was the best boy and we'll never forget him.
